The Problem with Evolution

I see a major problem with the way evolution is taught in schools today. Here are two definitions of evolution I found on a Google search-

1. The process by which animals, plants, and other living organisms are transformed into different forms by the accumulation of changes over successive generations.

2. The gradual development of something, especially from a simple to a more complex form.

The problem is, by definition, the evolution of anything happens after it already exists. Evolutionists don’t have an explanation for “the beginning”. Trying to explain it with the big bang theory, I heard an evolutionist say, “Given enough time, something could be made out of nothing”. I can’t believe any intelligent person could actually believe that.

This thought might be a little deep, but I will try to explain the problem I see with “in the beginning”. If there was “nothing” in the beginning, where did it come from? What is between the earth and the moon? We would say nothing and yet we can measure it. Satellites and other things float around in it. It is there. Where did it come from? How did it get there?

Here is another unanswerable question. Where does the nothing we call space end? Logically it can’t end because if it did end something (or more nothing) would be on the other side of it. However, how could it not end? This thought is beyond human explanation.

Why do we struggle so hard to find definition to “the beginning”? God told us in the first ten words of the Bible, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth”. After that His plan was to let His creation evolve. Maybe the struggle is evolutionists don’t want to believe in God, so they must find another way to explain where everything came from.

Going back to the definitions, evolution is something changing into a more complex form. That does not explain how a particle of matter evolves into a plant and then into an animal. How does a one-cell form of matter evolve into animals with various cells that make up the organs of a body? If you really think about it, I don’t think any logical person would believe that is possible. A cell decides to become a liver or a kidney or a lung, etc.? Do you really believe that?

Evolutionists always use the “millions of years” statement to justify what they cannot explain. How about believing God made everything, various animals, plants and minerals as He completed creation and He did it thousands of years ago, not millions.

Evolutionists explain these giant holes in their explanation by saying we haven’t figured that out yet. But for some reason evolution is taught in school like it is fact and creation is not considered. I believe once you understand creation from a Biblical point of view, evolution is the natural order of change God put in place “in the beginning”.

  1. Good questions. For either theory, creationism or evolution, many of those questions may not be answered by human beings. Both theories require faith in something. One requires faith in human opinions, the other faith in God. I guess this is a choice people need to make. Or, we could start with creation, and maybe assume there is some degree of evolution over time, in a world that was created, yet is dynamic and constantly changing. I think I will play it safe and stick with faith in our creator. I like the promises in the bible for those that do so. The scientist that promote evolution don’t make any promises about life after we leave the earth or a future resurrection. Biblical promises sound pretty good to me.
