Those that know me know I often wake up with interesting thoughts in my mind. Today was one of those days. I have wondered for years, and have written about it before, how any logical person could believe Darwin’s Theory of Evolution as it is taught today. Everything came from nothing over millions of years of random changes. Those that teach this freely admit there are missing connections, they call missing links, in their theory. I even heard an evolutionist teacher say, “We still haven’t figured out male and female”. Kind of a big missing link! How can we teach an unproven theory as fact?
As usual for me, I needed to find an accepted definition for the key word, this time “evolution”. A Google search brought me these definitions-
- Evolution is the process of change in the heritable traits of biological populations over successive generations. It occurs through mechanisms like natural selection—where better-adapted organisms survive and reproduce.
- Evolution is the change in physical traits or genetic makeup of populations over time (e.g., bacteria evolving antibiotic resistance).
Those definitions tell me that evolution happens after something already exists. Evolution by definition is natural change to things already existing. It is not something that came from nothing. “Nothing” cannot create something no matter how long you wait.
As I began pondering this thought I realized that when God created everything according to Genesis Chapter 1 He created the starting points for all creation. For example, Genesis 1:25 says,
25 God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. Each type of animal lives and reproduces “according to their kind”. An ape does not become a human over time. Apes give birth to more apes.
He made the earth, the sun and the moon. He made all the stars and planets in all the galaxies. I have never heard an evolutionist describe where the galaxies came from. Do they actually think our sun just appeared through some cosmic force and it became the giant fireball it is? Where did the gravitational forces come from that holds our solar system together? God created it.
After everything was created “according to their kind”, God sent in place the natural evolution everything goes through. Take a human for example. We are born about 7 pounds and totally helpless. The baby evolves throughout its life. It learns to walk, it learns to talk, it gets taller and heavier. At around 7 years old its baby teeth fall out and the adult teeth come in. I would like to hear an evolutionist explain how a child is born with baby teeth and adult teeth forming as it grows. It continues to evolve from a baby to a child to a teenager to an adult. Both physical and mental evolution was created by God to ultimately end up with fully functional adult with their individual passions and talents that make them different than every other person that ever existed. They are not an accident caused by random forces.
Every animal and plant evolve throughout its life. It is the way God created it to be. If a seed of a watermelon didn’t evolve it would always be a seed, not a watermelon. If our knowledge didn’t evolve from the time we were born, through our pre-adult life and into our adult life, we would still think like a child. God did not create this world to be stagnant. The wonder of what God created is far beyond the definition in Genesis Chapter 1, as amazing as that was. That was just the beginning of history (His-Story). The wonder is the built-in changes that occur throughout time. The Creator built in a system of evolution that continues the creation process daily everywhere in His creation.
He is involved in the evolution of His creation to this day. Psalm 139:13 says,
“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb”.
God is involved with our lives even before we are born. God created His Creation to evolve. To become all He wanted it to be. It is that simple. We need to stop teaching the false narrative of Darwin’s Theory of Evolution and be amazed by what our Creative Creator has done and is doing.
